Supplemental Course Schedule

What are LSC supplemental courses?

These 1-credit supplemental courses are taken alongside the “parent” course (this is what we call the big lecture course you are enrolled in). The LSC courses are opportunities for you to get additional practice with challenging course material by working with others who are enrolled in the parent course and who also want additional practice.

Supplemental courses are offered to support students in Chemistry 2070 and 2080, Chemistry 3570 and 3580, Economics 1110 and 11120, Math 1106, 1110, 1120, and 2210, BIOMG 1350, BIOG1440, Physics 1112 and 2213.

What are the goals of LSC supplemental courses?

The supplemental courses help you:

  • Implement effective learning strategies.
  • Enhance your sense of agency.
  • Practice effective problem-solving strategies.
  • Expand conceptual understanding of parent course material.
  • Develop a growth mindset.

Who teaches these courses?

Courses are run by LSC instructors and/or peer tutors who can help you understand the content.

Do I have to enroll?

Though enrolling holds the time in your schedule (which can be important for staying on top of things), students are also welcome to attend supplemental courses without enrolling! You can find additional information on the courses of study page.

Are there resources I can access even if I don’t enroll or can’t attend?

Many courses have asynchronous online resources that you can access without enrolling or attending. Links to access those are included below and will be updated as they are received. If you are interested in a course that doesn’t have a link, please reach out to the instructor.
