Amy Godert


Dr. Amy Godert is an alumna of Cornell University, where she earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology. She holds undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Computer Science from Canisius College. Prior to returning to Cornell, she was an Assistant Professor in Biological and Chemical Sciences at Wells College where she worked to bring innovative teaching concepts and approaches into the classroom, advised students, and chaired the Pre-Health Professions Advisory Committee. Coming back to Cornell, Amy became an Associate Director in the Center for Teaching Excellence for seven years. In that role, she worked with faculty across Cornell to implement pedagogies that enhance student learning outcomes and to develop assessment strategies to determine the impact of those pedagogies. She has also had the opportunity to teach in the International Teaching Assistant Summer Program. Amy began as director of the Learning Strategies Center in 2017 where she works with the LSC staff and other units on campus to promote inclusive academic excellence at Cornell.
